MY STORY

“Yeah… I can draw.”

That was the moment that changed everything.

Switching to graphic design wasn’t just a change of major but it was choosing to take myself seriously. Choosing to trust the way my mind works. Creativity has always felt instinctual to me. When I imagine something, I feel driven to bring it to life. I have the ability to recreate what I see in my head, and I genuinely enjoy the process of it all.

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember. Drawing was always my “hidden talent” , the thing I’d mention during icebreakers when someone asked what people didn’t know about me. It felt small back then, but deep down I knew I saw and processed the world differently. Visually. Instinctively.

I started college as an exercise science major, planning to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer. Soccer had shaped my life, so that path felt safe. It made sense to stay in athletics because it was what I knew.

But after my first semester, I found myself in my advisor’s office, feeling completely lost. I knew I wouldn’t be happy if I stayed on that path, but I didn’t know what else I could do.

She asked, “What’s something you like doing? Any hidden talents?”

And something in me finally clicked.

Design feels natural. It feels honest. And I won’t take that for granted by keeping my ideas to myself.

Being a collegiate soccer player while studying design has shaped how I work. Soccer demands awareness, quick thinking, teamwork, and discipline. Design requires those same qualities. The ability to see the bigger picture while executing the smallest details. I bring that mindset into
every project.

Over time, I’ve grown confident in my abilities and in my creative voice. I know I can contribute ideas, structure, and perspective to whatever team I’m part of. My natural creativity isn’t something I hide anymore but something I lead with.

I’m here to create work that reflects both who I am and how I think.
